Monster Hunters International

Founded in the winter of 1895 by Bubba Shackleford, when the good folk of Keene County started to disappear. And, sadly, some of them came back – though they weren’t quite human anymore. Bubba gathered up a posse of concerned citizens – in what could only be described as an angry mob – and sorted out the problem. The problem lay in what we now know was a vampire, Bubba lynched the creature twice before getting angry and burning it at a stake. One by one, the newly created vampires were hunted down until the good folk of the county and Cazador township were made safe. And thus was Bubba Shackleford’s Professional Monster Killers was born.

PUFF Charter

Though Bubba Shackleford’s Professional Monster Killers bore the very first PUFF Charter, issued the day the Perpetual Unearthly Forces Fund Act was signed into law, the Charter was revoked on December of 1995 when an Executive Order shut down the PUFF and made monster hunting illegal. Just over six years later (after monster attacks shot through the roof and a new administration reversed that Executive Order) the company was reorganized as Monster Hunters International, and was issued another PUFF Charter with all the bells and whistles.
